Some business have been out long enough to get repeat customers or referrals, but what if you are a new business or a business that has sporadic ups and downs? It becomes a crap shoot as to what your revenue will look like from month to month.

If you spend time on marketing, sometimes it becomes a majority of your efforts if you don't have a reliable way to bring in business automatically. So you are at a crossroads. You could do your own marketing, you could hire an employee or you can hire a marketing agency or advertising service.
